Meet Our Team
Owner & CEO
I love sharing my knowledge and experience of this incredible industry with my students. I was introduced to aerial arts when I was 19 years old without realising the immense impact it would have on my life. Over 20 years on I can't see a life for myself without aerial arts in it!
Silks was my first love and I specialise in teaching dynamic aerial silks and rope. I performed around the world on numerous apparatus for over 15 years. Since settling down and having a family my focus has been on sharing my passion with my students and growing the awesome Aerial Artistry® community, as I continue to further my knowledge of the wonderful world of aerial circus!
Senior Instructor & Tots/Explorers Program Creator
I started training at Aerial Artistry in 2014 and have always been inspired by the supportive community.
I particularly love teaching our beginner programs and introducing our newest students to the world of aerials and welcoming them into our community. I am also really excited so see our Circus Tots and Explorers programs come to life and love the fun and energetic vibe it brings with it!
I spent my entire childhood as a competitive gymnast and rock climber, so aerials was a natural transition for me. It challenges me physically and creatively, and from it I've built some very special friendships.
Outside of Aerials, I spend my ‘free time’ chasing and loving a very energetic toddler and a labradoodle who thinks he is a cat.
I really enjoy working at Aerial Artistry® where students can start as absolute beginners and progress to being confident and amazing in the air. I think circus is such a great activity to push yourself in a supportive and non-competitive environment. My favourite thing to teach is routines, and I love seeing students hard work pay off when they perform!
I started training aerials in a mixed apparatus youth class as a teenager and over a decade later I still love being in the air. Outside circus, I enjoy spending time with my pet rats, who love fishing peas out of water bowls and being generally mischievous.
I love the friendly and supportive environment of the studio and the inspiring women I work with every day. I can’t pick a favourite apparatus to teach because they challenge me to create in very different ways. I really enjoy watching my students of all ages excel and achieve a skill/something they never thought possible. I'm also passionate about performing, and creating an emotional connection with an audience.
I fell in love with aerials after my first lesson nearly 6 years ago, after 9 years of gymnastics I needed a different creative and physical outlet and felt so at home in the air. In my spare time I enjoy drinking tea all the time (but especially on rainy days) and crochet/embroidery/cross-stitch/sewing!
The Aerial Artistry team are so welcoming and supportive, I find myself being constantly challenged in my coaching and my training, which I love!!I have been training at Aerial Artistry for 3 years now and coaching for almost 2 years. I started aerials as I wanted something new and exciting to try.
If you know me you will know that I am constantly learning new skills and creative talents to keep me busy. Some of my most recent additions include fire twirling and stilt walking. I enjoy teaching all age groups and my most loved apparatus personally is silks. My favourite class to teach at the moment is Level 2 Lyra.
I started training aerials in 2016. I was bored with my doctor-prescribed pilates and was looking for something to build strength that was exciting and made me want to exercise. I was sick of just going through the motions at the gym. In 2020 I joined the instructor team. I love being a part of the team because aerials and Aerial Artistry®have given me so much, and it is an honour and a pleasure to be a part of that experience for other people. I particularly enjoy teaching adult silks and helping students do what they thought was impossible before they joined the tribe.
By day, I’m a scientist who works in molecular genetics. I run a highly automated genetics laboratory and am a prenatal specialist with a significant interest in data analysis. But at night, I am almost always flying in my second home!
Administration & Members Manager
I love that the studio is a safe, friendly and empowering place for our students to be themselves while achieving things they never thought they could! I was first introduced into the world of aerials 10 years ago in Brisbane. I made my way down to living on the Gold Coast 6
years ago, found Aerial Artistry® and never looked back!
If I’m not behind the desk at AAGC you’ll find me by the lyras, my favourite apparatus. When I’m not at the studio I'm either surfing or spending time with my Kelpie and my partner on the beach.
